Job Description
A Chemical Technology client in Houston, TX is looking for an Analytical Chemist to join their Analytical Chemistry team. Analytical Chemist will conduct routine chemical analyses in support of our mission to provide high quality products to our customers. The Chemist will be expected to produce accurate and repeatable results. This position will require an individual capable of working independently to meet daily work requirements.
Responsibilities:
o Work may include the use of specialized laboratory equipment: IC, ICP, Rheometers, FT-IR, Zetasizer, Tensiometer, UV/Vis Spec, etc.
o Perform Routine Analytical Testing including: Water Analysis, Friction Flow Loop Testing, Viscosity and Rheology, and other analyses typical in the oil and gas industry.
o This position will require the use of Oilfield chemicals during performance evaluations including but not limited to Friction Reducers, Scale Inhibitors, Corrosion Inhibitors, Surfactants, etc.
o Persons in this position will evaluate Oilfield fluids and solid materials including Freshwater, Produced Water, Crude Oil, Core and Formation Materials, Mineral Scale, Sand, etc.

Required Skills & Experience
*Education: BS in Science Discipline (Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, etc)
*Experience: Fresh graduate or up to 1-2 years' experience as a lab technician
