As the Utility Specialist you will be working with a Project manager in the design and preparation of detailed computer aided drawings for construction of private underground utility systems.
Provide CAD support for Utility coordination, Subsurface Utility Engineering and Municipal Project
Independently Work with rough sketches, drawings, specifications, and other engineering data received from client or Project Manager for use in the development of final construction drawings.
Must be able to plot plan view drawings or plan & profile drawings to include cross-sections, spot elevations, buildings, walls, fences, roadways, rights-of-way, underground utilities, tunnels, overhead power lines and other structures noted in the survey notes or on the record utility drawings.
Must have in-depth knowledge of jurisdiction and public entity-specific permitting requirements, and to be able to submit, track and finalize permits for all types of projects.
Calculate or determine project utility dimensioning, profile grades, route elevations, underground utility line elevations, underground utility line sizes and quantities of materials.

2-5+ years of experience in AutoCAD design within telecom industry
Familiar with relocation design
Experience with pole permitting
Experience with the permitting process for TxDOT, City of Dallas, Oncor, AT&T, and other north Texas cities and municipalities
Be able to multitask on several projects
