Job Description
We’re seeking a ServiceNow System Administrator with strong CMDB administration experience and enterprise level ServiceNow support experience (large-scale environments, multiple teams, standardized governance, and production support). This individual will own day to day administration and serve as a trusted advisor, making recommendations and guiding best practices for the ServiceNow environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide day to day administration of the ServiceNow platform (user/group administration, access controls, workflows, forms, lists, notifications, SLAs, and general platform support).
• Serve as a CMDB System Administrator, ensuring ongoing data quality, governance, and CI lifecycle management.
• Support development and ongoing refinement of CMDB schema and Configuration Items (CIs) aligned to business needs.
• Support Configuration Management processes and partner with functional/application owners to define required CIs and relationships.
• Support and maintain ITOM Discovery (or comparable discovery/data ingestion) activities to discover, upload, update, and remediate CI data, leveraging automation where possible.
• Participate in CMDB clean up and optimization initiatives to improve accuracy, performance, and reporting.
• Act as a subject matter expert and advisor, providing recommendations on ServiceNow and CMDB best practices, platform optimization, governance standards, and scalable solutions appropriate for an enterprise environment.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate current-state processes, identify gaps or risks, and propose improvements that align with ServiceNow and ITIL best practices.
• Build and maintain dashboards and reporting for operational visibility (e.g., CMDB health, completeness/correctness, discovery coverage).

Required Skills & Experience
• 3–5 years of hands-on ServiceNow System Administrator experience in production environments.
• Proven experience supporting enterprise-level ServiceNow implementations (large user base, multiple business units/teams, standardized change controls, and production support).
• Demonstrated CMDB administration experience, including Configuration Management processes.
• Experience supporting CMDB schema/CI design and deployment in ServiceNow.
• Experience supporting discovery/data loads (e.g., ITOM Discovery) and CI remediation activities.
• Familiarity with CSDM and best practices for structuring CI classes and relationships.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and/or Software Asset Management (SAM) modules.
• Experience driving CMDB health initiatives and platform optimization in large, complex environments.
