Job Description
A chemical manufacturing company is seeking a IT Technician III – Site Services Support supporting the IT Division located in multiple sites. This position will provide technical services and support for business systems and applications. Support site functions, roles, and initiatives, and assist in the formulation of procedures and best practices for users of applications. They will be responsible for incident and request management using ITSM tools, will assist in the formulation of procedures and best practices for users of applications, and resolve script issues as they arise. This person will also support network infrastructure activities, including racking and stacking hardware, managing structured cabling, configuring WAN ports, and assisting with firewall support and troubleshooting. Additionally, they will be working with TCP/IP networking protocols, including troubleshooting connectivity issues and understanding the use of TCP vs. UDP in network communications.
This is a permanent direct hire role paying in a range of $90 - 99K annually dependent upon Tenure.

Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of related work experience in Information Technology, Business Administration, or Technology Management
At least one of the following industry-standard certifications: Security+, CCNA, Network+, MCSE, or other relevant industry standard certificate
Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, including differences between TCP and UDP protocols and their use cases
Demonstrated hands-on experience supporting network infrastructure, including equipment installation (racking and stacking), structured cabling, WAN connectivity, and firewall configuration and troubleshooting
Familiarity with network ports and protocols, including how common services (HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, SSH, FTP) utilize port configurations in an enterprise environment
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Foundational knowledge in some or all of the following areas: Application Analysis, Debugging, Functional Analysis, Programming, Software Design, Software Testing, Software Documentation, Programming Language, Software Requirements Specification, Integrated Development Environment (IDE), Software Bug Tracking Software
