Job Description

We are looking for talented Mechanical or Aerospace Engineers (BS or MS graduates) to join the Structures team. As a Structures Responsible Engineer, you will develop state-of-the-art structures throughout the product life cycle for both launch vehicles and lunar landers. You will be part of a highly skilled, dynamic team involved in all aspects of analysis, design, fabrication, and testing. Excellent collaboration and communication skills, along with a positive attitude, are critical.
[Note: This is not a test-only role. Candidates must be comfortable owning hardware through the full lifecycle—from design to production support.]

Responsibilities:
• Own and influence the entire hardware design cycle including conceptual design, structural layout, sizing analysis, hardware production, and structural testing
• Design and develop composite and metallic structures for orbital launch applications and spacecraft
• Optimize mass of existing designs and requalify them as needed
• Support products from conceptual creation through design release, analysis, prototyping, qualification, and production
• Support configuration development and trade studies
• Maintain requirements, activity schedules, budgets, and status tracking
• Create CAD models, manufacturing drawings, specifications, and documentation
• Perform first-order strength and sizing calculations for structural components
[Role Breakdown: ~50% CAD design (NX preferred), ~25% stress analysis (FEA/FEM), ~25% production support. Candidates must be comfortable working hands-on with manufacturing and integration teams.]

We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer that believes everyone matters. Qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment regardless of their race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital status, national origin, ancestry, genetic factors, age, disability, protected veteran status, military or uniformed service member status, or any other status or characteristic protected by applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances. • Experience with composite structures and manufacturing techniques, including Classical Lamination Theory (CLT)
• Working knowledge of composite manufacturing methods, material selection, testing, and characterization
• Experience with additive manufacturing and supporting production
• Experience developing physical tests to validate analysis and evaluate assumptions
• Background in aircraft structures (jets, helicopters) or similar mechanical systems
• Experience with GD&T and drawing interpretation
• Strong design and integration skills using 3D CAD software (Siemens NX preferred; FiberSIM is a plus)
• Demonstrated ability to take hardware from design through production
• Fluency in both CAD and analysis workflows—must be able to own a product from design through stress validation
