Job Description
As an Electrical Engineer on this team, you will work with a group of highly skilled engineers and specialists across multiple disciplines to design, build, and activate critical infrastructure supporting long-term mission objectives. This team is responsible for delivering large capital projects to various internal stakeholders.
Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary infrastructure project team to perform power-specific engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities for a variety of fast-paced, critical projects
Develop and issue drawings, design documentation, and reports for manufacturing, industrial, and commercial projects
Write, negotiate, and manage construction contracts with subcontractors across multiple disciplines through contract close-out
Coordinate with electrical utility providers to ensure reliable power service for critical site infrastructure
Partner with engineers, contractors, fabricators, and project stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
3+ years of professional experience in the design and/or construction of commercial or industrial power systems
5+ years of experience in a similar role working with electrical and power distribution systems (<600Vac)
Professional Engineering (PE) license
Working knowledge of delta/wye transformers, switchgear, motor control centers, building lighting, construction specifications, and facility grounding
Experience with critical power infrastructure including UPS systems, backup generators, and automatic transfer switches
Experience implementing process/design solutions with minimal disruption to operations
AutoCAD/Revit (beginner to intermediate proficiency)
Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, and IBC codes and standards
Ability to read and interpret power and control schematics and equipment O&M manuals
Experience with VFDs, industrial pumps, MODBUS communication, medium-voltage distribution, and control panel design
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently
Working knowledge of power coordination and arc flash
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Ability to perform hands-on work in varied environments (heat, cold, rain, confined spaces)
Must be able to work onsite in Bastrop, TX (remote not available)
Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as needed
Ability to travel as required
Valid driver’s license
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted
