Job Description

Static Equipment Engineer (Simple Version)

Overview
Tesla is looking for a Mechanical Engineer with experience designing pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and storage tanks for industrial facilities. This person will help design equipment, review vendor designs, and ensure all work meets industry codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities
Design and review pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and storage tanks.
Perform engineering calculations using tools such as PV Elite, Compress, and AMETank.
Conduct or review Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using ANSYS or similar software.
Review vendor drawings, calculations, and equipment packages.
Work closely with process, piping, civil, structural, electrical, and instrumentation teams.
Support equipment installation, troubleshooting, and field construction activities.
Verify designs comply with ASME, API, and other industry standards.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
5+ years of experience designing industrial process equipment.
Experience with:
Pressure vessels
Heat exchangers
Storage tanks
FEA analysis
Knowledge of:
ASME Section VIII
API 620/650
TEMA standards
Experience with software such as:
PV Elite
Compress
AMETank
ANSYS
NozzlePro
Preferred
PE License.
Experience with reactor or agitator nozzle design.
Experience creating engineering standards and design guidelines.
