Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Software Engineer (Backend & Web Development) candidate to work on site in Austin, TX and support the strategy and introduction of products based on unique and highly differentiated capabilities of a foundry for semiconductor microsystems and defense electronics companies. Their mission is to advance the state-of-the-art in critical semiconductor domains such as advanced packaging, and in the process to help restore U.S. leadership in semiconductor manufacturing. They are developing cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing technology that will define future roadmaps of semiconductor devices including logic, memory, 3D packaged devices, including thermal management, etc.
We’re looking for a mid-level Software Engineer to build and enhance web and backend applications that power fast-paced manufacturing operations—ideally within
semiconductor or high-tech environments. You’ll work across the stack with Angular on the front end and .NET on the back end, contributing to new features, integrations,
performance improvements, and reliability at scale. You’ll collaborate closely with product owners, manufacturing engineers, and QA in an Agile setting.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain Angular SPA front ends and .NET (C#) backend
services and APIs.
• Build robust RESTful endpoints, data access layers, and integration services
connecting to MES/ERP/SCADA and shop-floor systems.
• Implement clean, testable, and maintainable code following SOLID principles and
team conventions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily
standups, reviews, retros) and deliver incrementally.
• Create automated tests (unit/integration) and contribute to CI/CD pipelines (build,
test, deploy) with code hosted in GitHub or Azure Repos.
• Monitor and improve application performance, reliability, and security; troubleshoot
production issues with a bias for rapid, safe resolution.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in manufacturing/semiconductor operations to
translate process requirements into scalable software solutions.
• Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and knowledge sharing; mentor junior developers informally.

programming).
• Source control and code review experience with GitHub; Agile project tracking and CI/CD.
• Relational database skills (SQL Server or Oracle): schema design, stored procedures, performance tuning.
• Experience delivering in Agile teams (Scrum or Kanban) and thriving in fast-paced production environments.
• Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals (data structures, OOP, design patterns, testing).
• Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
