What to Expect
The hired personnel will be part of a team of estimators, collaborate with Project Manager and Field
Engineering, and ensure that all Mechanical (Wet & Dry) and CSA estimates and takeoffs are accurate,
competitive, and submitted on time. Personnel is required to understand cost drivers at a fundamental
level.
What you'll do
• Develop and implement cost management programs, including budget control, cost tracking,
and forecasting during project execution.
• Build detailed estimates from scratch using labor productivity rates, material takeoffs, and
equipment costs. This includes the ability to understand and complete take-offs from drawing
sets. Inclusive of all discipline scopes.
• Employ a can-do and innovative attitude, taking the initiative to find ways for continuous
improvement and growth of team.
• Create reports and dashboards to communicate cost performance to various teams and
management levels.
• Manage change orders and ensure timely completion of project deliverables.
• Develop cost reports and tools to inform decision-making, track project performance, and
conduct ad-hoc cost studies to assess project viability.
• Assist in developing project control processes, including change management, cost forecasting,
risk management, and earned value, in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
What you'll bring
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience (5+ years of estimation /project
controls role)
• Experience with large scale construction, Data Centers, Production Plants, Manufacturing
facilities
• Experience in estimation with Structural, Architectural, Mechanical. Mechanical discipline being
the focus.
• In-depth understanding of mechanical utilities, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping. Familiarity
with mechanical equipment, materials, and installation methods
• Excellent written and verbal communication presentation skills are required.
• Knowledge of how things are built at the fundamental level, experience with construction
management preferred.
• High proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis and reporting
