Job Description

Role Overview
Our client is seeking a Print Operations Workforce Manager to lead large-scale, shift-based workforce scheduling and labor administration for a fast-paced, high-accountability operation. This role manages 120–150+ hourly personnel across multiple locations and time zones and is responsible for scheduling, time tracking, and quality control of all labor data and costs.
This is not a role for the faint of heart. It requires confidence, adaptability, and comfort operating at scale in a dynamic, all-hands-on-deck environment.
Workload & Expectations
• Schedule and manage 120+ employees initially, scaling to 150+ minimum
• Teams distributed across multiple locations and time zones
• Shift-based workforce scheduling (not task- or timeline-based)
• Employees do not work standard 40-hour weeks
○ Expect weeknights and weekends
• Must follow established scheduling protocols
• Manage and administer:
○ Point/attendance system
○ PTO tracking
○ Vacation and sick time for all team members
• Maintain a real-time roster and respond to daily scheduling changes
Core Responsibilities
• Create, publish, and update 24/7 shift schedules on a weekly basis
• Perform weekly invoicing for labor services
• Conduct QC of individual labor hours, often reviewed in PDF format
• Heavy use of Excel for labor, cost tracking, and reconciliation
• Workforce management and resource planning
• Close collaboration with:
○ Purchasing Manager – create and manage new purchase orders (POs)
○ Accounting/Finance – ensure all labor costs are accurate and properly allocated/offloaded
• Perform administrative functions including:
○ Time reconciliation
○ PTO and sick time accrual
○ Accommodations management
○ Attendance and infraction tracking
• Escalate issues as needed to maintain operational excellence and workforce compliance
Systems & Tools
• Workday
○ Primary scheduling tool
○ Strong preference for Workday scheduling and accounting experience
• Procore and Procore Pay
○ System of record (“vehicle”)
○ Used for checklists
○ May be responsible for approving and applying payments
• Business Intelligence tools
○ Used to QC labor costs and visualize data (e.g., bar charts)
○ No Palantir Foundry experience required
Workforce Planning & Analytics
• Recommend and implement workforce planning initiatives to optimize an evolving operation
• Collect, interpret, and evaluate workforce metrics to provide data-driven insights
• Support demand planning, headcount forecasting, and hiring projections
• Provide accurate labor data to Finance and Business Strategy teams
• Support dashboards and reporting used for cost control and decision-making

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in construction, manufacturing, or similarly fast-paced environments with dynamic team structures as a Workforce Manager
• Prior experience administering time-tracking systems
• Proven leadership/management of hourly, shift-based field teams for at least 120 personnel
• Experience managing operations across multiple job sites and locations
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to flex working hours to support business needs
• High accountability, attention to detail, and comfort managing complexity at scale
• Experienced with the Workday platform

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience managing teams across multiple states and jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with applicable state and federal labor laws
• Familiarity with construction operations, factory production, or similar environments
• MILCON experience is a plus, but not required
