Job Description

A customer of Insight Global is looking to hire an Embedded Software Engineer to come onboard! This role focuses on building and enhancing embedded and driver-level software within a highly technical product engineering environment. The engineer will work closely with product architects, product managers, and fellow developers to design, implement, and optimize low-level systems and software features. This position operates in an agile/scrum environment, requiring strong collaboration, ownership of deliverables, and proactive problem-solving in performance-sensitive systems. Strong communication and the ability to work independently while contributing to team discussions are key to success.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of software development experience using C++ (systems-level programming)
• 3+ years of hands-on Windows driver development (user mode & kernel mode)
• Strong experience with debugging and performance analysis of low-level systems (kernel modules, device interfaces)
• Solid understanding of operating systems internals and computer architecture
• Experience with embedded systems or low-level hardware/software integration
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment
Strong proficiency with data structures and software design principles
