Role Summary
The Senior Product Owner/Manager owns the vision, roadmap, and delivery of vendor managed technology products. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors to ensure solutions deliver measurable business value, meet regulatory requirements, and are delivered on time with high quality. This role owns a critical alert response and life event support product within a highly regulated financial institution. The position operates at a program and product level, connecting multiple capabilities, vendors, and internal teams to deliver end to end solutions. The focus is on integration, vendor management, and operational execution, not hands on development.
Key Responsibilities
• Own and prioritize the product roadmap and backlog for vendor-integrated platforms, aligned to business outcomes and strategic goals.
• Serve as the primary interface between business, technology, and vendors, translating needs into clear product requirements.
• Lead end-to-end delivery from ideation through implementation, release, and transition to support.
• Manage vendor relationships, including scope alignment, dependency management, change impacts, release cadence, and issue resolution.
• Write and maintain clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and success metrics.
• Balance feature delivery, risk mitigation, technical debt, and regulatory commitments.
• Partner with architecture, engineering, and application support teams to ensure operational readiness and resiliency.
• Provide transparent status, risk, and dependency reporting to leadership.

Program & Product Ownership
• Serve as an end to end Product Owner / Program Manager, connecting strategy through execution.
• Own one core product with multiple capabilities across teams and platforms.
• Understand impacts across the organization and ensure solutions support Life Event Services.
• Manage large scale, multi million dollar initiatives within a financial institution, ensuring compliance and governance standards are met.
Alert Response & Event Management
• Support technology solutions for alert and emergency response, including:
o Flooding
o Active incidents
o HVAC outages
o Asset and facility disruptions (anything related to vendors, staff, facilities)
• Oversee tools that:
o Visually map events (geospatial or mapping tools)
o Send notifications via SMS, email, and alerts
o Automatically create cases when an event occurs (case management tools)
o Support background/emergency scenarios, including system outages
Technology & Integration
• Lead the transition from legacy tools to modern geospatial and vendor based platforms.
• Partner with third party vendors providing notification, case management, and mapping solutions.
• Ensure all integrations function end to end, including:
o APIs and file transfers
o Different technology stacks and integration requirements
o Java based applications and Oracle platforms
o Containerized environments
• Maintain a strong technical understanding to connect systems and data, without performing development work.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
• Manage vendor relationships, delivery timelines, and dependencies.
• Coordinate across multiple teams that do not directly report into this role, ensuring required data and capabilities are delivered to vendors.
• Identify and remove roadblocks across workstreams to maintain momentum.

• ~25% backlog and planning
• ~75% active collaboration with:
o Internal product and engineering teams
o Smaller data architecture teams
o External vendor team
• Ensure all workstreams are progressing and aligned with program goals.

Required Skills & Experience
Technical & Program Expertise
• Strong technical foundation at the program level with the ability to “connect the dots.”
• Experience managing product, project, and program work simultaneously.
• Solid understanding of APIs, file transfers, and integration patterns.
• Data driven mindset with experience in enterprise technology environments.
Product & Leadership Experience
• Proven Product Manager experience supporting complex, multi capability products.
• Strong vendor management experience across multiple products.
• Ability to operate independently and influence without direct authority.
• Experience in regulated environments (financial services preferred).

Required Skills & Experience
Required Skills:
• 8+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Product Management, or Delivery Leadership roles.
• Proven experience owning products delivered through third party / vendor platforms.
• Strong background in Agile delivery (Scrum / SAFe), backlog management, and PI / sprint planning.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex dependencies across multiple teams and vendors.
• Experience working in large, regulated environments (financial services)
• Vendor management and cross functional leadership
• Strong delivery and execution mindset
• Excellent communication with business, technical, and executive stakeholders
• Ability to prioritize tradeoffs between speed, cost, risk, and value
