Job Description
The Quality Engineer – BESS will partner closely with manufacturing, supplier, and engineering teams to ensure Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) products consistently meet quality, safety, and performance requirements. Day to day, this role will own quality activities across cell, module, pack, and system‑level components, performing data analysis, leading failure mode and root cause investigations, and driving corrective and preventive actions using tools such as 8D, DMAIC, and 5‑Why. The Quality Engineer will lead quality improvement initiatives tied to cost of quality, inspection results, and customer escapes, while supporting PFMEAs, control plans, and process flows to reduce risk. This person will conduct quality and supplier audits, support field and customer quality issues, ensure compliance with applicable BESS standards and certifications, and provide quality input throughout product development and validation. The role also includes leading cross‑functional teams, developing and maintaining BESS‑specific quality standards, providing technical guidance and training, and promoting strong safety and quality practices across operations.

-Bachelors degree in Engineering
-2+ years of manufacturing experience in a quality role
-2+ years of experience working with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
-Switch Gear Experience
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-1+ year of Statistical Process Control (SPC) experience
-Experience with Minitab or similar software's
-GD&T Experience
-Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
-Six Sigma Green Belt
