A Nashville employer is hiring for a full-time Remote Data Engineer. This resource will be working on a data mining tool. They will be responsible for ingesting data into the data warehouse and analyzing that data. The environment is Microsoft. They are hosted in Azure and using Data Factory and Databricks. PowerBI is the downstream platform for analytics. Using Visual Studio, they will be designing the database and data warehouse. They will analytics and do ETL development to move data around. Data sources include Azure, Oracle, SQL, Netezza, and DB2. The data they will analyze is music data globally including geographic, genre, platform streams, music creators, performers, and owners. About half the time will be dedicated to Data Engineering, 25% to analytics, and 25% to business logic software engineering type work.

6+ years of SQL development and Data warehousing experience
Background in software engineering
Visual Studio experience
Databricks experience
Data factory, DataStage, or SSIS experience
Python, Scala, or other scripting
PowerBi experience
Understanding of data points and Star Schema and Snowflake
PowerBI visualizations experience
