Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Kubernetes Infastructure Engineer to join one of our global manufacturing and supplier clients. Responsibilities of this role will center around replacing legacy Synology NAS systems with a robust, redundant Kubernetes-based infrastructure across multiple production lines. You’ll provision and manage clustered compute nodes using tools like Ansible and Terraform, orchestrated via K3s on Rocky Linux. These nodes will handle critical networking services (DNS, DHCP, NTP), host containerized applications, and support monitoring (Elastic Stack), VM hosting (via KubeVirt), and edge AI/ML workloads (via Kubeflow). You'll also design and deploy CEPH-based storage solutions—using Rook for edge nodes and evaluating options for central clusters—to ensure reliable data storage and forwarding to a centralized system with cloud backup integration. Collaboration, documentation, and demonstration of virtual cluster functionality will be key parts of your workflow.
