Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Fund Administrative Analyst for one of our financial services clients in Nashville, TN. This individual will support alternative investment products, including private equity, private credit, and other fund structures, by overseeing fund accounting activities, reviewing NAV calculations, preparing financial reports, and partnering with administrators to ensure accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting. The ideal candidate has 4-5 years of fund accounting experience, strong knowledge of private equity fund structures, and the ability to explain and perform key calculations rather than simply relying on automated systems.
Responsibilities
• Review and oversee weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual fund accounting deliverables
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Review and validate NAV (Net Asset Value) calculations for private equity and alternative investment funds
• Review management fee, incentive fee, and waterfall calculations
• Prepare and review financial reporting packages, including shareholder reports, portfolio reports, and audited financial statements
• Review capital activity, subscriptions, redemptions, trades, income, and expenses
• Partner with third-party fund administrators, auditors, and internal stakeholders to ensure reporting accuracy
• Support alternative investment products, including private equity, private credit, and CLO funds
Assist with audits, investor reporting, and ad hoc financial analysis

Required Skills & Experience
• 5 years of fund accounting, fund administration, or fund operations experience
• Private Equity experience (Private Credit also highly relevant)
• Strong hands-on NAV calculation experience and ability to explain the full calculation process
• Experience with incentive fee calculations and waterfall methodologies
• Experience building or reviewing financial reports, including:
○ Shareholder reports
○ Portfolio reports
○ Audited financial statements
• Understanding of fund structures, including:
○ Master-Feeder Funds
○ Fund-of-Funds
○ Alternative Investment Vehicles
• Knowledge of subscriptions, redemptions, capital calls, and distributions
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
Strong Excel skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• CLO (Collateralized Loan Obligation) fund experience
• Private Credit fund experience
• Experience building waterfall models and incentive fee calculations from scratch
• Functional tax knowledge, including:
○ K-1s
○ Withholding concepts
○ Fund tax reporting workflows
• Experience working directly with auditors and external administrators
• Knowledge of hedge fund structures and alternative investment products
Experience supporting new fund launches or complex fund structures
