A client of Insight Global is looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment services to children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental and special needs. The SLP develops and implements individualized, evidence-based treatment plans to address speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. This role emphasizes family-centered care, collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, and the use of developmentally appropriate and neurodiversity-affirming practices to support functional communication and independence.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in children with autism and other special needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments, clinical judgment, and family input
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve expressive and receptive language, social communication, articulation, AAC use, and/or feeding and swallowing skills
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to support meaningful, functional outcomes
- Provide direct therapy services in individual and/or group settings using evidence-based and play-based approaches
- Educate parents and caregivers on communication disorders, treatment strategies, and techniques to support skill carryover at home and in the community
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (e.g., occupational therapists, behavioral specialists, educators) to provide coordinated care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with professional, ethical, and regulatory standards
- Adhere to best practices, ethical guidelines, and state and federal regulations related to pediatric therapy services

Required Skills & Experience
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state licensure through the Tennessee Board of Communication Disorders and Sciences
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience or strong interest in working with children with autism spectrum disorder and developmental disabilities
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience providing therapy to pediatric populations with autism and special needs
- Familiarity with AAC systems, social communication interventions, and play-based or naturalistic therapy approaches
- Strong ability to build rapport with children and families
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
