Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead and develop a team of manufacturing engineers, engineering technicians, and interns while driving manufacturing excellence across a growing production facility. This role will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, leading Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives, improving material and production flow, supporting facility expansion efforts, and developing a high-performing engineering team. The ideal candidate has proven leadership experience within a manufacturing environment, strong Lean Manufacturing expertise, and a track record of driving operational improvements through process optimization and team development.

Required Skills & Experience

* 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.

* Previous people leadership experience leading engineers, technicians, or technical teams.

* Strong Lean Manufacturing experience, including Continuous Improvement, Kaizen, standardized work, waste elimination, line balancing, and operational excellence.

* Strong ability to explain Lean metrics, including takt time, cycle time, throughput, and line balancing.

* Strong understanding of manufacturing flow, material movement, equipment coordination, throughput optimization, and end-to-end production systems.

* Strong understanding of manufacturing systems, production processes, and equipment coordination.

* Experience driving process improvements through data, metrics, and root cause analysis.

* Strong project management and manufacturing principles background.

* Ability to work with OEMs to resolve equipment and process-related issues.

* Bachelor's degree in engineering required; Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering preferred.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* Sheet metal fabrication experience.

* Experience with laser cutting, press brakes, and punch presses.

* Experience supporting facility expansions, plant redesigns, or manufacturing footprint growth.

* Experience with new product introductions (NPI).
