Job Description

A client in the Memphis area is looking for an Engine Specialist to support their 24/7 service engineering team by monitoring real‑time engine performance data and identifying abnormal trends across GE, Pratt & Whitney, and Rolls‑Royce engines. This specialist will review engine health indicators, interpret automated aircraft data, and determine when issues need to be escalated to the MOCC (maintenance operations control center). The role focuses on proactive detection of engine problems, trend analysis, and coordination with maintenance teams to ensure safe and reliable fleet operations. Strong powerplant experience and familiarity with large commercial engines are essential.

Required Skills & Experience

* Minimum 5 years airline experience in powerplant repair or engine monitoring

*FAA A&P license

*Associates degree in any field

*Hands‑on experience performing major engine work such as changing fan/compressor blades, working with engine rigs, conducting engine runups, and performing or supporting engine borescopes (not changing oil filters)

*Experience with large, commercial aircraft engines (CF6, PW4000, RB211, GEnx, Trent)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

*Experience interpreting engine data from aircraft systems (EGT, vibration, oil pressure, fuel flow, etc.)

*Ability to recognize when engine behavior is abnormal and requires escalation

*Familiarity with MOCC workflows and how engine issues are communicated in real-time

*Exposure to monitoring and analysis roles in a live operational environment
