Insight Global is seeking an Industrial Electrician to join an enterprise Steel manufacturing team in South Carolina. This person will report to the Electrical Lead and the Electrical Supervisor in the melt shop. They must be committed to their own personal safety and the safety of others. They are required to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical systems individually and as part of a team with other maintenance personnel. This person should be able to function well in a high production environment applying a craftsman expertise and acumen.

Required Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have 4–6 years of experience as an industrial electrician, specifically working with heavy equipment or heavy industrial machinery rather than commercial or residential systems. Candidates must possess a High School Diploma with at least four years of electrical maintenance and troubleshooting experience, a discipline-related technical training certificate, an Associate’s Degree with two years of electrical maintenance and troubleshooting experience, or a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
This role requires a coachable, team-oriented individual who is eager to learn and motivated to join a high-performing team. Strong communication skills and a willingness to continuously develop technical knowledge are essential.
The candidate should have working knowledge of AC and DC motors, variable speed drives, network systems, and PLC programmable logic controls. They must be proficient in using various types of multimeters to perform motor testing and troubleshooting. A solid understanding of power distribution systems and high-voltage electrical systems is required, along with a strong foundation in electrical theory.
Experience with HMI programming, specifically Wonderware, is preferred. The individual must be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Finally, the candidate must have experience working in or be willing to operate on a rotating shift schedule, consisting of four days on and four days off, alternating between day and night shifts.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have prior mill experience that is directly relevant to the role. Experience working with DC overhead cranes is required or strongly preferred. The individual should demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, with working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and welding. Previous Navy Nuclear experience is also highly desirable.
