Job Description

Job Summary
Insight Global is looking for a Buyer to join the team of one of their manufacturing clients in Greer, SC. This role will support day-to-day purchasing operations, primarily focused on purchase order management, expediting, and maintaining accurate order status within the ERP system. The Buyer will work closely with suppliers to track deliveries, resolve delays, and ensure timely communication of updates to internal stakeholders. This is a tactical, high-volume role (60–70% expediting/PO management) with some exposure to basic analysis and reporting (30%). The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, strong in Excel, and comfortable communicating with suppliers to keep orders on track.

Key Responsibilities
• Enter and manage purchase orders within Business Central
• Monitor and maintain open orders, ensuring all status updates are accurate and current
• Expedite orders with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery
• Communicate directly with suppliers to obtain updates and resolve issues
• Provide clear, concise updates to internal stakeholders on order status and risks
• Run and analyze reports to track purchasing activity and identify issues
• Maintain accurate system data and ensure reporting reflects real-time status
• Support general purchasing operations to fill short-term operational gaps

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Have Qualifications
• Experience with urchase order entry and/or order management
• Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, filtering, report navigation)
• Ability to analyze and interpret reports to identify order status and issues
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written), comfortable working with suppliers
• High attention to detail and ability to keep data accurate and up to date

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Nice to Haves
• Experience using Business Central or similar ERP system
• Previous purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience
