Job Description

We are in search of an Engineering Aide to join our diverse and fast-paced organization. As a core team member, you will assist in our engineering team’s success by setting up work in our Utility client’s Work Management System. The aspects of day-to-day or week-to-week execution may vary, but will focus on technical and administrative tasks associated with bringing high-quality distribution engineering deliverables to our clients.

Engineering Aide Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
• Coordinate with permit agencies, right-of-way specialists, system owners, field leaders, forestry leaders, and 3rd party owners for joint-owned poles.
• Provide engineering support during construction, including post-construction reviews to ensure all applicable engineering and construction standards have been met.
• Conduct root cause analysis of outages and mitigation using engineering principles and design.
• Assisting with hiring and on on-board process of new employees.
• Setup and Creation of New work in Leidos and Clients Work Management Systems.
• Assisting engineering and project managers with Project Analysis
• Assisting the Engineering Manager and Section Director with local administration tasks

Required Skills & Experience

• High School diploma required; Associates degree in Engineering Technology or related field is preferred; less than 2 years of relevant distribution experience
• Ability to perform both office work and field work, which includes outdoor environments
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Ability to utilize personal vehicle (Some job related travel may be anticipated, and will be reimbursed at IRS approved rates)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Previous Experience in utilities and permitting
