Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join BIM / FTSE Russell, assigned to a specific delivery team confirmed at onboarding — either Equity Product Development or PRIME Integration. The role strengthens automated testing across the assigned workstream using PyTest BDD and Playwright, focused on automating unit and component tests within the existing Automation Test Framework (ITAF). The shared core stack is SQL Server, C#.NET and Python.

Required Skills & Experience
• 7+ years as an SDET / test automation engineer
• Strong test automation with PyTest BDD and Playwright
• tSQL stored-procedure regression testing (e.g. tSQLt)
• Python, with working knowledge of SQL Server (or PostgreSQL) and C#.NET
• Experience building and maintaining automated test suites (unit, component, regression)
• Disciplined approach to test coverage in a complex, database-heavy system
• Able to integrate fully into a BAU delivery team
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• AI/ML for anomaly and drift detection and automated test-case generation — scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyCaret (LSEG's stated direction of travel)
• Agentic AI tooling (e.g. GitHub Copilot) to automate test-case generation within ITAF
• Performance/non-functional testing (e.g. JMeter, k6, SQL Profiler)
• AWS native services exposure
• Financial Markets (Equities and/or Fixed Income) / Index Services domain knowledge
