Job Description

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist for Check Disbursement team for one of our clients in the Fort Mill, SC area. This person will be responsible for the accurate and timely managing of daily and weekly payments for U.S. and International Companies. Assist with verification of invoices when needed.

Position Responsibilities:
- AP Forecasting: Prepare weekly forecasting for check runs and/or as needed
- Check Runs: Accurately and timely handling of check runs for U.S. and International Companies
- Over $5K payments: Prepare and verify the accuracy and timely submission/process/approval of over $5k
- Foreign Payments: Prepare and maintain weekly reporting of foreign vendors to send to vendor master team for review prior to issuing payments
- Reporting: Prepare/maintain the accuracy and timely “checks mailed” daily/weekly reports. Prepare and maintain accurate month-end and year-end trending
- Check Stock: Maintain constant check stock levels for both companies. Request purchase orders for restocking of check supplies
- Check room: Maintain check room security for check disbursement controls as well as
hardware maintenance as needed
- Check Matching: Prepare the check matching of specific payments, i.e., Napa, Refunds, etc.
- Communication: Effective overall communication with team member(s), manager, and other departments. Daily/weekly communication with receiving dock and mail room for maintenance of ACH supplies, overnight forms, returned checks and weekly check mailing

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelors or Associates Degree preferred.
- Ability to handle high volume with exceptional accuracy
- Keen attention to detail, strong sense of urgency, team player and customer service oriented
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and be highly organized
- Adaptable, flexible, and open to change with the ability to provide and be receptive to feedback
- Ability to work well independently as well as with a team
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and Word

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- 2+ years of AP check disbursement experience
