Job Description
- Design and implement scalable SQL stored procedure pipelines in SQL Server and PySpark pipelines in Databricks, optimizing for data quality and performance
- Lead efforts to operationalize and standardize data ingestion from diverse payer sources
- Document and champion best practices for unit testing and data validation to maintain the integrity of healthcare datasets
- Collaborate with Product Management and Population Health Analysts to refine requirements for CMS Stars initiatives
- Coach peer and junior engineers through code reviews and pair programming, fostering a collaborative learning environment

Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of experience working in data engineering
- Proven experience building and optimizing stored procedures in SQL Server
- Proficiency in dimensional data modeling, schema design, and data warehousing
- Experience implementing file-based data pipelines using Azure Data Factory
- Experience using version control (e.g., GitHub) control for collaborative development
• Hands-on experience with branching strategies, pull request workflows, code reviews
• Experience with automated CI/CD pipelines supporting Databricks or similar data platforms
- Foundational understanding of Databricks or Spark-based environments
- A growth mindset and a desire to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Deep knowledge of CMS Stars ratings or similar healthcare quality metrics
- Proven experience building and optimizing data pipelines in Databricks
- Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional
