Insight Global is seeking a remote Lead GCP Data Engineer to support a large healthcare client. This role involves leading a team of four onshore developers in the roster migration within the network and providers team. The ideal candidate will be primarily responsible for developing, migrating, and refactoring code to run in GCP.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Getting hands-on with Spark tools to manage BigQuery data
Using Airflow to create tables
Writing units in PySpark to support ETL development
Building DAGS to use cloud composer
Providing best practices to team members and conducting code reviews

3+ years of recent experience as a project lead, with a focus on mentoring, coaching, and code review/development
6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
Ability to present at stakeholder meetings to provide team updates
Experience in designing and developing cloud-native data pipelines in GCP
ETL experience using BigQuery, Dataproc, and Cloud Composer
Strong SQL and PySpark skills
Experience with DevOps practices (CI/CD pipeline)
