Job Description

• Build and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, datasets, and semantic models.
• Develop and optimize DAX, SQL, and Power Query transformations.
• Manage data refreshes, gateways, and connections; resolve data or performance issues.
• Work with business partners to understand needs and turn them into reporting solutions.
• Document data logic, definitions, and model structure.
• Collaborate with IT and data engineering to support scalable data architecture.
• Provide best practice guidance and occasional mentorship within the team.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years Power BI skills (reports, datasets, DAX, data modeling, semantic models, performance tuning).
• Strong SQL and Power Query (M) for data transformation and pipeline design.
• Solid understanding of relational databases, dimensional modeling, and enterprise data platforms (Azure SQL/Synapse/Data Lake).
• Ability to troubleshoot data/model issues and optimize performance.
• Experience gathering requirements, translating them into designs, and documenting data sources/models.
• Ability to lead small projects, guide stakeholders, and mentor junior team members.
• Strong communication, problem solving, and self management skills.
