Job Description
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Team Lead who is passionate about solving complex infrastructure and cloud modernization challenges. This is a hands-on technical leadership role, not a people management position. The ideal candidate is a senior DevOps engineer ready to serve as the primary technical lead, driving cloud migration initiatives, architectural decisions, and modernization efforts across enterprise environments.
You will lead the technical strategy and execution for migrating workloads from on-premises environments to Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) while leveraging modern DevOps practices, automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys tackling ambiguous technical problems, asking the right questions, designing scalable solutions, and guiding engineering teams through complex transformations.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
Serve as the lead technical resource for DevOps and cloud migration initiatives.
Provide architectural guidance and technical direction on infrastructure modernization projects.
Partner with application, infrastructure, security, and engineering teams to define migration strategies.
Lead technical discussions, solution design reviews, and implementation planning efforts.
Cloud Migration & Modernization
Design and execute migration strategies from on-premises environments to Azure and/or GCP.
Assess existing infrastructure, applications, dependencies, and deployment patterns.
Create scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architectures.
Develop migration roadmaps, identify technical risks, and create mitigation plans.
Drive modernization efforts including containerization, automation, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud-native adoption.
DevOps Engineering
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions and/or GitLab CI/CD.
Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployments, and operational processes.
Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices using Terraform, Bicep, or similar tools.
Improve system reliability, monitoring, observability, and deployment efficiency.
Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and deployment issues across hybrid environments.
Problem Solving & Solution Design
Act as the technical expert for challenging infrastructure and cloud transformation projects.
Analyze business requirements and convert them into scalable technical solutions.
Evaluate trade-offs between cost, performance, security, and operational complexity.
Drive root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions for recurring issues.
Pay Range: 11-16hr
