Job Description

We are seeking a licensed Journeyman Electrician to support and perform electrical inspections in commercial facilities, including VA hospitals, under the guidance of senior electricians. This role focuses on assisting with inspections, identifying deficiencies, and supporting compliance efforts related to NFPA 70 / NEC standards. Work is primarily after hours (4:00 PM – 10:00 PM), with potential overtime.

• Assist with electrical inspections in commercial and federal facilities
• Inspect panels, transformers, fuses, and life safety components
• Support infrared (thermographic) inspections and data collection
• Observe and report potential electrical hazards or deficiencies
• Assist with documenting inspection findings and observations
• Perform basic assessments of transformer conditions, including lubrication checks
• Follow established inspection procedures and safety protocols
Work evening shifts and support after‑hours inspection schedules

Required Skills & Experience

• Active state Journeyman Electrician license (required)
• Experience working in commercial electrical environments
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of NFPA 70 / NEC
• Willingness to learn and support formal inspection processes
• Ability to document findings clearly and follow direction
• OSHA 30 certification (preferred)
Exposure to healthcare or federal facilities (preferred, not required)
