Job Description
Insight Global is hiring a Backend Developer to join our Transaction Team, supporting high‑impact integration and feature work within our clients POS ecosystem. This role centers on backend engineering with a strong focus on Java-based development, data processing, and fresh feature builds. The ideal candidate is a sharp, analytical engineer who can ramp up quickly and contribute to both new development and production support as needed. This role is primarily focused on new development (80-90%) with occasional involvement in production issue resolution (10-15%).

Required Skills & Experience
- 5-6 years of backend development experience
- Strong proficiency in Java, Springboot, Microservices, SQL/PostegreSQL
- Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Solid understanding of integration architecture and backend services
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- POS/Retail Experience
- Triaging/troubleshooting
- Familiarity with Jumpmind or similar POS Technology
