Job Description

A global infrastructure engineering software client is seeking a highly skilled Civil Software Consultant to deliver expert-level advisory, configuration, and training services to a portfolio of 5–10 premier transportation-industry customers. In this role, the consultant will work on three-month, project-based engagements, partnering closely with clients to understand their goals and design effective workflows using our clients civil design solutions, including OpenRoads and OpenRail. Responsibilities include leading technical project work, delivering advanced training and product demonstrations, creating digital learning content, and mentoring other consultants while contributing to continuous product improvement. The position involves approximately 25% travel across the U.S., Canada, and LATAM for client engagements and industry conferences, with location flexibility excluding the West Coast. This is a full-time role, though the organization where you will be responsible for optimizing their product usage with their clients.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field required; rail or roadway focus preferred.

Minimum of 8 years of relevant industry experience.

Expert proficiency in Bentley software (OpenRail, OpenRoads, OpenSite); experience with Civil 3D, MX, or Trimble is a plus.

Strong technical expertise in site, road, and rail infrastructure design.

Experience integrating multiple engineering and design applications.

Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Ability to quickly learn, demonstrate, configure, and coach on Bentley civil engineering software.

Experience with transportation agency planning, design, and construction workflows.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Spanish or French proficiency is a plus.
