Job Description

The Project Manager oversees projects from planning and design through construction and closeout, including review of design drawings, permitting, stakeholder coordination, and grant-funded project compliance. This position is ideal for a hands-on professional who can independently manage multiple projects while collaborating effectively with internal leadership and external partners.

Essential Functions

Manage capital improvement and other assigned projects from planning and design through construction and closeout.
Assist with the development and management of the annual capital budget and multi-year capital improvement plan, including tracking expenditures, forecasts, and project performance.
Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, funding requests, and implementation plans.
Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure successful project delivery.
Review design drawings, specifications, and project documents for facility renovations, tenant fit-outs, and capital improvement projects.
Prepare and administer bid documents, RFPs, contracts, purchase orders, and change orders in accordance with organizational policies.
Monitor project progress, manage risks, review contractor invoices, and resolve issues impacting scope, schedule, or budget.
Coordinate permitting, regulatory approvals, inspections, and project compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Support management of grant-funded projects, including documentation, reporting, and compliance requirements.
Communicate project status, schedules, and impacts to leadership and stakeholders, providing regular progress updates and recommendations.
Maintain project records and support contractor safety and quality performance throughout project execution.

Equivalent experience may be considered.


Experience

5+ years of project management experience in commercial real estate, construction, facilities, or property operations.
Experience managing capital improvement projects, tenant fit-outs, renovations, and building infrastructure projects within office, retail, life science, or mixed-use portfolios.
Proven experience managing project budgets, schedules, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
Experience reviewing architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
Experience managing grant-funded capital projects, including compliance, reporting, and coordination with public or private funding sources
