Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Planview Portfolios SME for a leading enterprise healthcare client. This individual will act as a hands-on expert responsible for transforming the organization’s current usage of Planview from basic time tracking into a fully integrated enterprise portfolio, resource, and financial management platform. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical configuration expertise with strategic leadership, driving adoption across a large IT organization while partnering closely with PMO leadership and executive stakeholders. This role will play a critical part in scaling tool usage, implementing best practices, enhancing reporting visibility, and leading change management initiatives to modernize portfolio operations and eliminate reliance on manual processes like Excel.
• Configure and optimize Planview Portfolios modules for enterprise-wide use
• Partner with PMO leadership to expand capabilities in:
o Resource management
o Financial tracking & forecasting
o Demand intake & portfolio planning
• Drive enterprise adoption from ~100 to 1500+ users
• Replace manual processes and reduce reliance on Excel
• Build and enhance dashboards and reporting (including Power BI)
• Develop and standardize governance workflows and project tracking
• Support rollout of new functionalities across IT organization
• Create or leverage training materials and lead adoption initiatives
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align Planview with Agile/SAFe practices
• Partner with Planview vendor team and internal stakeholders
• Support onboarding/offboarding and future administrative processes
• Prepare organization for expanded usage of Planview across IT and EPMO

Required Skills & Experience
• 5 years hands-on experience with Planview Portfolios and with Planview AgilePlace
• Experience configuring and implementing Planview modules (resource management, financials, demand intake)
• Background in PMO environments and enterprise project portfolio management
• Ability to drive tool adoption and rollout strategies across organization
• Experience with portfolio planning, governance workflows, and reporting/dashboards
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills (working with PMO directors, enterprise teams)
• Deep functional/configuration expertise (not purely advisory experience)
• Experience training users and enabling “train-the-trainer” models
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Familiarity with Agile / SAFe frameworks
• Healthcare industry experience (especially with large enterprise orgs like payers)
• Strong background with data visualization and reporting (Power BI)
• Exposure to integrations (ERP, Jira – not yet implemented but desirable)
