Job Description

We are seeking a QC Analyst – Microbiology to support laboratory operations within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment. This individual will perform microbiological, biochemical, and analytical testing of raw materials, utilities, in-process samples, and finished products while ensuring compliance with GMP, quality, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Perform microbiological, biochemical, and chemical testing in accordance with approved methods, GMP regulations, and EHS standards.
Execute testing and document results using electronic systems including LIMS, MES, LES, Empower, TrackWise, and other laboratory platforms.
Review laboratory data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance while supporting investigations, CAPAs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain laboratory operations through sample management, reagent preparation, inventory control, equipment calibration, and general laboratory upkeep.
Author, revise, and maintain laboratory documentation including SOPs, test methods, protocols, and training records.
Support onboarding and training activities, maintain an audit-ready environment, and assist during internal and regulatory inspections.
Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and cross-functional teams to communicate testing status, resolve issues, and support operational priorities.
Work independently on an alternative shift schedule while effectively managing changing priorities in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related scientific field
• Minimum of 2 years of microbiology testing experience (bioburden, endotoxin, plate reading, environmental monitoring)
• Strong knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) within a QC laboratory environment
• Ability to identify process or system gaps and support resolution efforts
• Familiarity with compendial standards (USP, EP, JP, etc.) for QC testing
• Ability to read and interpret SOPs, work instructions, test methods, and protocols
