Job Description

The Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician will assist the pharmacist in the production of compound medications in accordance with the policies and procedures of the pharmacy, state professional standards, and other regulatory entities. The technician will work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, primarily in the clean room, compounding medications and sterilizing/cleaning the room before and after compounding activities. We will provide a 1 week paid training to align you with our processes and the daily responsibilities.


Key Responsibilities:

-Prepare and compound medications following standard operating procedures.

-Operate, clean, and maintain aseptic compounding equipment and areas.

-Perform quality checks and document all compounding activities accurately.

-Maintain inventory of chemicals, materials, and consumables, ensuring proper stock levels.

-Coordinate with other pharmacy team members to ensure timely preparation and delivery of compounded medications.

-Maintain housekeeping standards in the compounding areas.

Required Skills & Experience

-Aseptic technique knowledge and experience (including but not limited to working in: compounding pharmacy, drug manufacturing space, equipment sterilization, etc.)

-Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions accurately.

-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes in workflow.

-Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Sterile compounding or non-sterile compounding experience

-Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification.

-IV infusion experience
