Sr. Firewall Security Analyst

Insight Global is looking for a Sr. Firewall Security Analyst with strong experience in Splunk and network traffic analysis to join a large banking client on a 6 month contract remotely working EST hours. This role will focus on validating system configurations and analyzing real-world network activity to ensure alignment with expected behaviors across the environment. Previous experience working with firewalls, security groups in Wiz, Splunk logs, and strong documentation skills is essential to succeed in this role.

- 5-7+ years experience working as a Firewall Security Analyst in medium-large enterprises
- Strong experience working with Juniper, Checkpoint, and Palo Alto firewalls to assess the firewalls, and document over permissive rules, and provide recommendations on firewall rules
- Strong experience with Wiz or Defender for Cloud for security group access and understanding the VPC structure
- Strong understanding of network security in AWS security groups
- Strong understanding of networking, routing, how environments are connected with VPCs
- Experience using Tufin to access summaries of all firewall rules
- Experience using Splunk to check firewall rule sets within logs for network traffic verification
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and self-starter mentality

- Previous experience working with AI firewall projects
