Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Product Designer to support enterprise‑scale eForms, letters, and notification experiences for a Big 5 Canadian bank, with a primary focus on designing highly usable, accessible, and brand‑compliant forms and system‑generated documents that meet complex business, regulatory, and operational requirements.

Design & Prototyping
• UI Design (EN & FR)
o Design intuitive, user-friendly form layouts optimized for completion efficiency
o Define field layouts, spacing, labels, error states, and help text
o Ensure consistency across forms while accommodating use-case variations
• PDF Output Design (EN & FR)
o Design customer- and employee-facing PDF documents generated from eForms
o Define typography, spacing, hierarchy, and visual structure
o Ensure documents are readable, printable, and accessible
• Templates, Use Cases & Variations
o Create and maintain master templates for PDFs and forms
o Design variations based on business rules, data conditions, and business needs
o Document design logic to support efficient development and reuse
Standards & Branding
• Enterprise Design Alignment
o Ensure designs comply with the BMO Design Library and branding standards
o Apply enterprise visual guidelines consistently across all forms and documents
o Identify gaps in existing standards and propose enhancements
• Design Standards Creation & Maintenance
o Create or update design standards as required to support new use cases
o Document best practices for form layout, PDF structure, and accessibility
o Promote consistency across teams and initiatives
Collaboration & Usability
• Business & BA Collaboration
o Partner with business stakeholders and Business Analysts to translate requirements into effective designs
o Validate design decisions against documented business and regulatory needs
• User Journey & Usability Integration
o Incorporate user journey insights into form and document design
o Apply usability feedback to improve clarity, efficiency, and completion rates
o Balance user experience with compliance and operational constraints
• Developer Collaboration (Quadient)
o Work closely with Quadient Developers to ensure designs are technically feasible
o Adjust designs to align with platform capabilities and limitations
o Support implementation by clarifying design intent and behavior
Accessibility & Quality
• Accessibility Compliance
o Design forms and PDFs to meet accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG)
o Ensure proper contrast, focus order, labels, and screen-reader compatibility
• Scalability & Reuse
o Design with scalability in mind to support future forms and document expansion
o Promote reuse of components, layouts, and patterns

Required Skills & Experience

• 1-2+ years of product design experience
• Proven experience leveraging InDesign for designing (ie. Designing eForm)
• Proven experience leveraging Figma for designing (ie. Designing eForm)
• Ability to design variations driven by business rules, data conditions, and use cases
• Familiarity with enterprise design systems and brand standards
• Experience creating or updating design standards and best practices
• Strong collaboration with Business and BAs to turn requirements into effective designs
• Ability to validate designs against regulatory and operational requirements
• Experience integrating user-journey and usability insights into design
• Ability to apply usability feedback to improve clarity, efficiency, and completion rates
• Ability to adjust designs to platform constraints and developer feedback
• Knowledge of WCAG accessibility (contrast, focus order, labels, screen reader compatibility)
Ability to design for scalability and reuse across components, patterns, and templates

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience working with Quadient (or other CCM tools) to ensure technical feasibility
• Experience designing EN/FR digital form UIs (layouts, labels, spacing, errors, help text)
• Ability to design EN/FR PDF outputs with strong typography, hierarchy, and readability
Bilingual French
