Job Description

The Operations Associate will support day-to-day banking and deposit operations, ensuring accurate transaction processing, timely exception resolution, and operational accuracy across multiple currency centers. This role focuses on money movement, reconciliation, automation support, and internal communications within a fast-paced operations environment.
Key responsibilities include processing deposits and withdrawals, resolving transaction and ATM-related exceptions, managing cash orders and cheque returns, and supporting backend automation and reporting processes. This role operates on a late shift and is well-suited for someone detail-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable working with financial data and operational systems.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience in banking operations, deposits, or transaction processing
Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Hands-on experience with money movement, including debits, credits, and withdrawals
Ability to process and reconcile transactions, balances, and exception reports
Experience handling ATM-related transactions and dispute resolution
Strong understanding of deposit operations, cheque returns, cash orders, and money-in-slip processing
Proficiency in Excel for operational tracking and reporting
Experience working with shared inboxes and exception-based email workflows
Ability to follow structured processes and meet strict daily processing timelines
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team environment
Comfortable working late shifts (1 PM–9 PM) and occasional overtime

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience using Power BI for reporting or operational insights
Exposure to automation initiatives within banking or operations environments
Experience supporting backend automation for deposits or client orders
Understanding of general ledger (GL) movement and key-off reports
Prior experience working across multiple processing cycles (mid-day and end-of-day runs)
Experience in transaction file formatting or batch processing workflows
