Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a mainframe IMS DBA/DB2 subject matter expert to help advise on the selection, design, development and integration of mainframe databases, specifically DB2. This position requires a solid understanding of mainframe application development and database technology with an emphasis on database administration. The candidate would provide technical guidance on related database and mainframe software updates, in addition to providing database admin support for DB2.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ Years of experience as a mainframe DBA within a DB2 environment.
Previous experience with ongoing application support in a banking environment.
Previous experience with upgrades.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional app development teams.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Production support experience.
Scripting with Python.
Previous CIBC experience.
Background as a developer.
Know installs of software or configurations.
