Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Manager of Data Platforms to join one of our large enterprise clients in the payments industry, responsible for leading teams that operate Kafka and Managed File Transfer platforms within mission‑critical environments.
In this role, you will lead teams of system engineers responsible for the availability, performance, and reliability of enterprise data platforms that support both real‑time and batch data movement across internal systems, external partners, and clients. These platforms operate in a 24/7 production environment and are critical to the organization’s core business operations.
You will serve as the primary point of escalation for complex or high‑impact incidents, supporting engineering teams and determining when vendor engagement is required. Beyond incident management, this role is focused on driving operational maturity across the platform ecosystem. This includes improving processes, documentation, monitoring, automation, and overall service reliability to prevent recurring issues.
You will partner closely with architecture, security, and development teams to ensure platforms remain stable, secure, and scalable as business needs evolve.

Required Skills & Experience
-Experience managing teams supporting 24/7 production systems in mission‑critical or highly regulated environments
-Strong people‑management experience, leading system engineers or platform support teams
-Hands‑on exposure to Managed File Transfer platforms or comparable enterprise data‑integration technologies and working knowledge of Kafka
-Strong understanding of incident management, ticketing workflows, and operational KPIs
-Ability to drive process improvements, documentation standards, and operational consistency
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Experience with enterprise Managed File Transfer tools (e.g., GoAnywhere) or RPA platforms (e.g., UFT)
