Job Description

A client in the greater Oklahoma City area is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven and forward-thinking Security Technician to join our amazing culture. In this role, you will install, program, system start-up/check-out, certify, and customer train on assigned projects including small or less complex projects. As a Security Technician, you are a part of a dynamic team that allows you to grow as the client grows.

• Developing exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of, and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted.
• Developing technical skills and experience related to building automation systems, fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems.
• Ability to develop basic programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems and look for solutions.
• Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper).
• Proficient computer skills including familiarity with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Required Skills & Experience

Education: High School/GED or equivalent experience
Preferred Experience: (but not required):
- 1-3 years relevant
- Experience in 1 or more of the following industries: electronic, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation

o Focuses on servicing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and support of existing systems and customers.
o Troubleshooting and repairing electronic security systems, including diagnosing issues, replacing defective parts, and debugging routine system problems in the field
o Responding to service, maintenance, and emergency calls, including scheduled maintenance and occasional after-hours service for existing customer systems
o Preventative maintenance and system checkouts on installed security systems
o Using basic mechanical, electrical, and computer skills, including hand/power tools and Microsoft Office
o Customer-facing service and documentation experience
