Job Description

We are seeking a results-driven Project Manager to oversee a .NET application upgrade/modernization initiative, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders and an offshore delivery team to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery. This role requires strong experience running Agile/Scrum software development projects, excellent communication and risk management skills, and hands-on proficiency using Smartsheet to plan, track, and report progress.
The ideal candidate is comfortable managing complex technical workstreams, translating delivery realities into transparent reporting, and creating team alignment across time zones.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery & Execution
Own end-to-end project delivery for a .NET application modernization/upgrade, including scope, schedule, budget, resources, risk, and dependencies.
Partner with engineering leads/architects to build and manage a realistic delivery plan (migration phases, testing cycles, release readiness, cutover).
Drive day-to-day execution: remove impediments, track blockers, and ensure timely escalation and resolution.
Maintain high-quality status reporting and executive-ready communication (progress, risks, issues, decisions, and actions).
Agile/Scrum Leadership
Facilitate and/or oversee Scrum ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, retrospectives).
Work with Product Owner/Business stakeholders to ensure requirements are clearly defined and prioritized.
Promote Agile best practices, ensuring teams deliver in increments with strong visibility into commitments and outcomes.
Track sprint outcomes and delivery metrics (velocity trends, burn-down, defect trends, cycle time—where applicable).
Smartsheet-Based Project Planning & Reporting
Use Smartsheet as the system of record for the project plan, including:
Work breakdown structure (WBS), milestones, and deliverables
Resource assignments and capacity planning
RAID log (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies)
Status dashboards and automated reporting
Build and maintain Smartsheet dashboards for stakeholder visibility across workstreams (engineering, QA, release management, data migration).
Establish lightweight governance using Smartsheet workflows/alerts to support approvals, change management, and dependency tracking.
Offshore Team Coordination
Coordinate work across onshore/offshore teams with clear expectations, handoffs, and communication cadence.
Ensure offshore work is well-defined with acceptance criteria, quality expectations, and clear timelines.
Align across time zones to keep work moving and avoid “dead time” through structured handoffs and documented decisions.
Stakeholder & Change Management
Manage scope and change control—identify impact, communicate tradeoffs, and drive timely decisions.
Ensure alignment between technical delivery and business goals (UAT planning, training, release readiness, and cutover communications).
Partner with QA and engineering to ensure testing strategy, defect management, and release criteria are measurable and enforced.

Compensation:
$55/hr to $60/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
