An employer is seeking a Digital Design Engineer for a contract to hire opportunity in the Mason, OH area. This digital design engineer will be joining the Space and Sensors program for a federal manufacturer and the team is looking for individuals looking to grow and get promoted within the company. The ideal Design Engineer will have an electrical engineering background and 5+ years of experience supporting hardware research, design and development for digital systems. Specific background in RF, FPGA, VHDL, DSP or Embedded firmware will set this candidate up for success as they will be assisting in designing hardware and dashboards for rockets on the space program. The team is seeking two design engineers to join this program long term and being able to use design packages like Minitab, Spice, ADs or Microwave Office will allow them to hit the ground running on their daily tasks. This role will require a local candidate as about 60% of the time will be spent on site in the lab working hands on to develop design units and work cross functionally with other team members.
