Day to Day
We are seeking a highly experienced Electrical Test Engineer with on of our electric utility clients, this person will act as an Electrical Testing and Technical Leader to support substation and power system operations through technician development, field oversight, and technical expertise. This role is responsible for training and mentoring test technicians, leading complex electrical testing and commissioning activities, analyzing equipment performance data, and providing on-site support for substation projects, outages, and emergency restoration efforts. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of substation equipment, protective relaying, and power system testing, along with strong leadership skills and the ability to improve safety, reliability, and operational excellence across the organization. This position serves as a subject matter expert for both technical operations and employee development within the Test Department.

Required Skills & Experience
Must Haves
5-10 years of electrical testing within utility of substations, distribution, or similar
Experience with testing and equipment for substations
Electrical engineering degree or equivalent
experience supporting union work - will oversee ~ 18-20 union employees
