Our client is seeking a Data Engineer to join a growing data platform team led by the Data Platform Manager. This individual will play a key role in designing, building, and supporting enterprise data solutions with a primary focus on Microsoft Fabric. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving complex data challenges, building scalable data pipelines, and working closely with both technical and business stakeholders. Success in this role requires strong technical expertise in modern data engineering practices, a passion for learning emerging technologies, and the ability to contribute in a collaborative yet influential manner. Candidates should have practical experience delivering production-ready data solutions and be comfortable supporting those solutions after deployment.

Required Skills & Experience
Hands-on experience designing, building, and supporting production data solutions within Microsoft Fabric.
Strong experience with PySpark for data engineering and transformation workloads.
Experience developing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and architecture.
Experience with data modeling and designing scalable data structures.
Experience working within the Microsoft data platform ecosystem.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a highly technical, hands-on engineering mindset.
Ability to support and troubleshoot production data environments.
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
Ability to balance assertiveness and collaboration when working across teams and driving technical decisions.
Demonstrated learning agility and willingness to work with emerging technologies and unfamiliar problem spaces.
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience (extensive engineering experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Microsoft Fabric certification.
Experience delivering at least one end-to-end Microsoft Fabric implementation in a production environment.
Experience with Azure Data Factory.
Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics.
Experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI.
Experience supporting reporting and analytics platforms.
Experience in distribution, manufacturing, or similar operational environments.
Experience with Dynamics 365 (D365) and Dataverse.
Exposure to AI or machine learning solutions and experience applying AI capabilities to business or data engineering use cases.
Scripting experience with PowerShell.
Experience working in highly Microsoft-centric technology environments.
