Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an Oracle EBS Database Engineer for one of our largest clients in Cleveland, Ohio. This role supports project delivery across a wide range of development initiatives with dependencies on Oracle E Business Suite (EBS). Serving as a centralized Oracle EBS enablement function, the team ensures environments are properly configured, supported, and operational throughout the full project lifecycle. In addition, this role plays a critical role in supporting a large scale enterprise acquisition by enabling Oracle EBS environment readiness, supporting system integration and data migration efforts, and ensuring ongoing operational stability as acquired systems are transitioned into the organization.

Responsibilities may include:

• Design and develop database management systems, standards, guidelines and quality assurance for database deliverables.
• Patch and maintain database systems for optimal security and supportability
• Document and communicate database designs to relevant stakeholders and analyze the impact of the data architecture
• Code complex programs and develop logical processes on technical platforms.
• Participate in quality assurance by developing and testing database code in client server environments.
• Adapt business requirements and develop data, database specifications, and table and element attributes for applications.
• Develop an understanding of the organization's data and storage mechanisms and assist with capacity planning.
• Determine appropriateness of data for storage and optimum storage organization.
• Determine how tables relate to each other and how fields interact within the tables for a relational model.
• Work with stakeholder to define the database Disaster Recovery plan, database back-up, recovery and archiving strategy

Required Skills & Experience

- 4+ years of professional experience in Database Administration.
o Database design, implementation, documentation, and management.
- Strong experience specifically with Oracle eBusiness Suite R12.
- Experience with Oracle relational databases, including version 19c and/or Autonomous Database Service.
- Foundational understanding of Linux – all client databases run on Linux platforms.
- Knowledge and experience in database performance tuning, backup and recovery strategies, and data security practices.
- Automation or Process Improvement experience.
o Python experience is preferred for Automation.
- Strong experience with Github.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with project teams.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- DevOps background (Jenkins, Ansible, Python, etc.).
- Liquibase experience.
