Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented SQL DBA with Azure cloud experience to design, develop, and optimize database solutions that support analytics, reporting, and operational systems across our insurance organization. This role will focus on building efficient queries, stored procedures, and data structures that enable reliable access to high-quality insurance data, including claims, policy, premium, underwriting, and financial data. This position will play a key role in accelerating cloud adoption, coaching the existing DBA team, and shaping best practices. The ideal candidate has strong SQL expertise, experience working with large relational databases, and a solid understanding of insurance or financial services data environments. Additionally, they would have comfortability working closely with a team of developers, be able to be hands on, and work in alignment with internal and external resources.

Required Skills & Experience
· Experience supporting the migration of SQL Server databases to Azure SQL and other cloud data services.
· 3-5 years of experience with data modeling, large scale datasets, and complex data joins
· 3-5 years of experience working with business requirements and translating them into SQL solutions
· Ability to mentor junior or legacy DBAs learning the cloud and push back against Cloud Center if things don't feel right.
· Automation experience and building CI/CD pipelines
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
· Experience in the insurance industry, financial industry or banking industry
· Familiarity with terraform
· Local to Cincinnati
