Job Description
The Senior Systems Engineer will design, implement, and support Penske’s enterprise infrastructure across servers, storage, virtualization, cloud, and backup environments. This role supports both Windows and Linux platforms while ensuring high availability, performance, scalability, and security. They will lead infrastructure initiatives across virtualization, storage, automation, and disaster recovery, while partnering across teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.

Required Skills & Experience
Target Profile:
• Targeting someone well-rounded across:
• Linux + Windows administration
• Virtualization (Nutanix / VMware)
• Storage (Dell EMC, SAN/NAS)
• Disaster recovery + backup
• Security/patching and infrastructure stability
Experience:
• ~5 years of experience in systems engineering / infrastructure
• 2–3 years of experience leading or supporting mid-to-large scale infrastructure projects
• Strong experience administering Windows Server and Linux server operating systems (Red Hat, Ubuntu, or similar)
• Exposure to virtualization, storage, DR, and enterprise infrastructure
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Preferred Certifications:
VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP)
Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or equivalent Linux certification
Relevant cloud or infrastructure certifications preferred
