Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join one of our leading HCM clients. This role will support external clients by delivering accurate, compliant, and timely payroll services while acting as a trusted point of contact for payroll- and tax-related inquiries. This role sits within a high‑volume, client‑facing environment and requires strong attention to detail, responsiveness, and comfort working against service metrics.
Key responsibilities include managing end‑to‑end payroll for multiple assigned clients, ensuring payrolls are processed according to established procedures and calendars, and completing year‑end activities, balancing, and statutory reporting. The Payroll Specialist will liaise with third‑party vendors and government agencies to resolve payroll, remittance, and tax-related issues, while ensuring all deadlines are met.
This role also serves as a payroll subject matter resource for clients, providing guidance on statutory requirements, tax forms, payroll reporting, and best practices. The individual will leverage internal tools, knowledge bases, and defined processes to investigate issues, deliver clear resolutions, and maintain a high standard of client satisfaction.

Required Skills & Experience
-PCP enrolled, with Payroll Fundamentals 1 completed
-Minimum 2 years of end‑to‑end Canadian payroll processing experience
-Experience working with third‑party vendors and government agencies (e.g., CRA, Service Canada, Manulife, WCB)
-Exposure to year‑end payroll activities, including tax forms and payroll reporting; understanding of tax form boxes and ability to investigate and resolve payroll or reporting discrepancies
-Strong written and verbal communication skills with a client‑focused mindset
-Demonstrated client service experience in a fast‑paced or service‑driven environment
-Resourceful, adaptable, and eager to learn while aligning to internal processes, tools, and standards
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Experience working with ADP Workforce Now
-Involvement with ADP year-end reports and activities
-Experience managing external or managed services clients
-Exposure to unionized environments and/or Quebec
payroll
-Demonstrated leadership qualities such as proactively identifying client challenges, supporting change management initiatives, managing tasks and closing gaps to resolution
