Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Director, Business Development on behalf of a leading title insurance company.
Reporting to the VP, Commercial Business Development, this individual will be responsible for driving residential and commercial business growth across Atlantic Canada. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced real estate lawyer looking to leverage their legal expertise, industry relationships, and market knowledge to influence business growth and strategic direction throughout the region.
The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to law firms, lenders, developers, and other key real estate stakeholders while delivering innovative title insurance solutions in an evolving marketplace. This role offers a unique opportunity to transition from private practice while remaining closely connected to the legal and real estate community. This is a home-office-based position, ideally located in Halifax, Fredericton, or Moncton, and requires regular in-person meetings with clients and prospective partners throughout Atlantic Canada.
Key Responsibilities
• Build and strengthen relationships with leading law firms, lenders, developers, and other industry participants across Atlantic Canada.
• Apply real estate law expertise in a strategic leadership capacity.
• Serve as a recognized subject matter expert on title insurance.
• Influence Stewart Title’s business strategy and market growth initiatives.
• Lead and support business development team members.
• Represent Stewart Title at industry events and conferences.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience
Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of experience in real estate, title insurance, or lending.
• Strong understanding of real estate law, closing processes, and title insurance products.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout Atlantic Canada.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
